Easy Tips to Inculcate Time Management in Children

Every day as the clock strikes eight in the morning, the mothers at every home become super women. They face the ordeal of waking their sleepy head children and getting them ready for school day in and day out. Forcing the kids out of bed, making them brush, bathe and eat their breakfast is not less than third world war for any mother. That too if the child is too sensitive, handling their temper tantrums is even worse. In such cases there are some simple tips that can bring in time management in children and help them to grow into a disciplined person. Some of these techniques are highlighted here:

Time recording

Buying the child time clocks helps a lot in this regard. This device is generally used by employers to record the working time log of every employee in and organization. This wonder device can be used to discipline the child. For example if the child has to finish brush and cleaning within a time, mothers can ask them to punch in their time after completing the work every day. This weekly record can be compared on Sunday along with the child and if the kid has completed the task on time every day he or she deserves a chocolate.

Everything is a race

If the child is small to understand a time recording, then parents can try to convert every activity into a race and the child as the participant. At the blow of the whistle the child has to begin and complete the task before the whistle blows again. This enthuses the child and by converting every mundane activity into a game, the child and parent does not feel the strain as well.

Penalty shoots

If the ball overshoots beyond the goal post, the referee orders for a penalty shoot out. Following this rule, the child can be allowed one extra chance if he or she fails to keep up time. When the child hears the word penalty more than once, he feels he has consumed more time and tries to speed up himself. This feedback driven system helps the child to learn his chores quickly.

Not only getting ready for school, but activities like home work, playing, eating and sleeping can all be made time bound for the child to learn time management at a very early stage of life.
